Work starts on new High Wycombe care home creating more than 100 jobs
Construction has started on a new 78-bed care home in High Wycombe which is expected to create more than 100 jobs when it opens.
The new home, being built on West Wycombe Road, is scheduled to welcome its first residents in summer 2028.
It will provide residential, dementia and short-term respite care for older people and is expected to create 103 jobs locally.
Plans for the site include en suite bedrooms, a cinema, cafΓ©, hair and beauty salon and spa bathroom.
Wheelchair-accessible landscaped outdoor areas are also planned, including sensory gardens and seating areas for residents.

The building will be divided into smaller suites, each with its own lounge and dining area, with the aim of creating smaller communities within the home.

The development is expected to be completed in time for the first residents to move in during summer 2028.
